A CANDIDATE for the Monster Loony Raving Party has stepped up to
fight in the Buckingham constituency against John Bercow although he
said he does not think he will win.
Colin Dale, who used to be a district councillor for Wendover for 15
years but who now lives in North Wales, wants to make a stand against
MPs as he is "sick and tired of all they have got up to".
He said: "I don't for a minute think I am going to win but I am
prepared to risk my £500 to make a point."
Due to boundary changes Princes Risborough will be part of the
Buckingham constituency in the next election where John Bercow is
standing for re-election as speaker of the House of Commons.
Mr Dale, 71, said he is also standing as he thinks it will be a
fitting memory to his friend, David Sutch from the band Screaming
Lord Sutch and The Savages and founder of the Monster Loony Raving Party.
Mr Dale was a DJ on the pirate radio station- Radio Sutch- which was
used to promote the band in the 1960s and he has since relaunched it
on the web.
Mr Dale, who owns property in the area, said: "I am totally sick of
these politicians and their lies. We are not far from a Stalinist
state where we mustn't say this and we mustn't say that."
UK Independence Party candidate Nigel Farage, four independents
Patrick Phillips, Geoff Howard, John Stevens and Debbie Martin and
British National Party Lynne Mozar are also standing.
Mr Dale said he decided to be part of the Official Monster Loony
Raving Party because he wanted to make a bigger statement than just
standing as an independent.
He added: "I don't have policies as such but what I would say is
this. They are my 'I believes' I firmly believe, to be quite honest,
that indigenous people of this country should be put first.
"If there is any thing left in the cake you can then help others. We
have let our own people down."
He said there should be restrictions placed on the number of
immigrants allowed in the country over the next few years.
He added he thinks the law system should be fairer. He said: "The
punishment should fit the crime. I am sick and tired of seeing old
ladies locked up because they selling a goldfish. I find it
appalling. It is not the British way."
He said he owns property in the area and he will be able to represent
the people in the Buckingham constituency.
A Free Democratic Party candidate called Clifford Craig has also
stepped forward taking the number of candidates to nine.
