Data Analyst required to assist in high profile, short-term project to
migrate 55,000 email mailboxes from Lotus Notes/Domino to Outlook/Exchange
2010. Analyst will assist in the planning, scheduling and reporting of user
migrations which will occur at a rate of approximately 3,000 per week for
six months. Analyst will also be responsible for updating reports and
statistics to be presented to senior executive management. Project timeline
is very aggressive and will involve working during many weekends and
holidays from July through December 2012.

Ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to deliver under quality work
under pressure with limited supervision. Candidates must be analytical, yet
pragmatic with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Functional Responsibilities

Support email migration team throughout the planning (March-May), pilot

(June-July) and migration (August-December) phases Perform as backup person
to migration planning lead (manager) Analyze and assess various data points
impacting the migration schedule Create, modify and maintain complex Excel
worksheets for data analysis and reporting Perform user acceptance testing
and become an expert user of migration scheduling tool (Lotus Notes DB)
Assist manager in updating MS Project schedules and MS Power Point
presentations required for program and executive reporting Interact and
communicate with technical teams working on the migration, i.e., understand
technical requirements and constraints Interact and communicate with
program management teams working on the migration, i.e., escalate risks,
issues and accomplishments Interact and communicate with business and IT
liaisons who represent the users whose mailboxes are being migrated, i.e.,
be empathetic to amount of change the users are experiencing during the
migration

Job Requirements

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (e.g., vlookup formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
Proficiency in MS Power Point, MS Word and MS Project Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to respond within
short time constraints and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy
Self-motivated and reliable to complete assignments with minimal day-to-day
management Ability to build trusted relationships with core and extended
team members Must be willing and able to work many weekends and holidays
throughout the migration (July-Dec)

The candidate does not need to have extensive knowledge of email nor email
migrations for this assignment, however, it is helpful if they have IT
project experience to understand the technical concepts, issues and risks
related to the project Interpersonal skills are a must. Candidate will be
working as a liaison between the technical team and the users being
migrated so that we can explain to the mechanics of the migration plan to
the users and to provide the technical team with the information they need
from the users to execute the migration Data analysis skills are needed to
do User Acceptance Testing and eventually use a migration scheduling tool
that is being developed specifically for this project. The tool will be a
Lotus Notes DB that receives daily feeds from various sources (HR,
security, mailbox data,etc.) and creates a migration schedule based on
specific criteria.

Lastly, this project requires a candidate willing and able to work evenings
and weekends from July-December. We have at least 25 weeks of migrations to
do, and the current plan is for this person to be the lead coordinator
every other week (with me taking the alternate weeks). Although
work-from-home flexibility will be granted on evenings and weekends,
candidate will need to work on-site in Somerset office during the week.
