Subject: California First-Graders Take Field Trip to Lesbian Wedding If there is any doubt as to where California is headed on the issue f Gays, one needs to take the below to heart. If you have not already heard, the Supreme Court of Connecticut has now taken it cue from California, and has just "legislated" that the People of Connecticut must now adopt a pro-gay stance when it comes to marriage. Connecticut has no Initiative Process, and therefore, the People have no vote in the matter. If, and when the People adopt JAIL4Judges, it would not only help Californians, but would also likely influence the Supreme Court in Connecticut to recognize that they are not Legislators permitted to legislate laws. As it is now, we will find the Supreme Courts of the various states "legislating" homosexuality throughout the country state by state, bring God's sure judgment upon this nation. -Ron Branson [EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________ From: Pacific Justice Institute [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, October 13, 2008 2:34 PM To: JAIL4Judges Subject: First-Graders Take Field Trip to Lesbian Wedding For Immediate Release: October 13, 2008 Contact: President Brad Dacus (916) 857-6900 California First-Graders Take Field Trip to Lesbian Wedding San Francisco, CA A public charter school in San Francisco took its first-graders on an unusual field trip Friday - to a lesbian wedding at City Hall. The first-graders, from Creative Arts Charter School, watched as their teacher, Erin Carder, married her partner Kerri McCoy, in a ceremony officiated by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom. The children were given rose petals to scatter and bubbles to blow in celebration. Some also wore No on 8" political buttons. The school's interim director stood by her decision to allow the field trip, calling the lesbian wedding a "teachable moment" which she did not consider controversial. Supporters of Prop. 8, which would restore the definition of traditional marriage in California, had a very different reaction. "This should be a wake-up call to every parent in California," stated Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute. "This underscores our warnings that, if we do not reverse the state Supreme Court's decision at the ballot box, the gay agenda will be pushed on young schoolchildren," Dacus continued. PJI is currently litigating issues arising from the state Supreme Court's gay marriage decision. PJI has also advised hundreds of individuals, businesses, private schools and church groups throughout California about the negative legal effects of gay marriage. PJI attorneys are concerned that this scenario could be repeated throughout California. California Education Code Section 51933 requires schools to teach respect for marriage and committed relationships," which will now include gay marriage unless Prop. 8 is approved in November. While the statute also requires that such instruction be "age-appropriate," that provision will offer little comfort to parents whose children attend schools where educators believe elementary students are a prime audience for learning about gay marriage. PJI urges any parent whose child has been subjected to same-sex weddings or similar indoctrination without their consent to contact Pacific Justice Institute immediately for representation at no charge.
