Michelle~ The forwarded is a tad simplistic but levelheaded and perhaps you would profit from it in understanding the three primary forces we face today to our detriment. These are: greed, ignorance, and apathy. Please understand these are not at work as three stand alone entities but rather are a volatile and explosive admixture of the components. This admixing is both circumstantial and deliberate, one often the result of the other.
At stake in all this are the two concepts of freedom and Liberty. Although quite similar in definition, freedom may be the more characterized of the two as had in passing, or with varying degrees of time and effectiveness while Liberty is more a steady state and of greater entirety. Liberty provides a more certain future therefore, and is of a more steady base and the more sacred. Either of these is quite transient by nature if left unattended as neither survives without a constant and sure source of energy attending the concept. The above three detrimental forces are both the worst enemies as well as the most constant threats to Liberty. From this we may view these interactions as classic forms of good and evil in counterplay. As Liberty may be regarded as a rather steady state, the three detriments work by degree either individually or in admixture. From this it is readily seen that a total and uniform onslaught of the three is rare and normally would develop only as allowed to grow to that catastrophic absolute conjoining. Primary in the defense of Liberty is application of the above needed constant energy in the form of that directed to guardianship and defense. As that input level -- which must be regarded as a force of good -- is allowed to decline, the three evil forces stand ever ready to either seep or rush in to make further inroads as the opportunities are naturally increased for evil to prevail by and because of each and every drop in/of guard and subsequent need for greater defense which also diminished proportionally as so drops the guard. Here we now stand! As our defenses dropped, our guard relaxed to ineffectiveness. Greed encouraged ignorance, and apathy naturally followed to block revival of awareness and its control over greed. Liberty has yielded to greed and these cannot co-exist as greed is parasitical to Liberty. Liberty must as well be fully understood as part of the energy it requires to exist. Apathy invariably leads to the incapacitation of Liberty. As Aaron Russo so adequately observed: “From Freedom To Fascism”! America is awash in evil and that evil comes from evil men alone and never the other way around! It has through all time been regarded as foolish for goodness to attempt to negotiate evil away. Evil has been and always will be only abolished by direct confrontation!
