I think a small change that would make toki a bit happier would be this: don't insert "/usr" into the default installation paths when the prefix is something other than "/".
I have changed the default prefixes to entirely omit /usr, and added some extra magic to add /usr to includedir, libdir and sysdepdir when --prefix is not given at all. Is that more intuitive ?
The documentation for --enable-slashpackage could describe the values
I have added a small paragraph in INSTALL to explain in more detail what is happening with --enable-slashpackage.
What do you think about replacing --enable-right-tz with a runtime check?
Done. Please check out the latest git snapshots and let me know how it works for you. -- Laurent
