Does anyone now how to cancel a dead key event (like Opt-e on a US
keyboard layout)? The problem is related to the changes in the type-
select helper. If you stop type-select (e.g. due to the timer) and
the last key was a dead key, the next event will still be affected by
the dead key. It should somehow be possible, as other text controls
do this when they stop editing. However I haven't found any API that
helps here.
