This looks like a bug in some Apple framework, something related to fonts. Perhaps a problem in the font cache, or problems with the print services framework. I've read about some bugs in both of these parts. That's bad news, as *we* can't fix that.

Hello,

I am getting a pretty weird reproducible crash of skim if I do the following:

1) open fontspec.pdf (http://ctan.basemirror.de/macros/xetex/latex/fontspec/fontspec.pdf )

2) because this document is 84 pages long I wanted to print it with two pages on one (landscape), so I select print and layout: 2 pages. Since this selection is NOT represented on the preview-area I chose: PDF: open in preview.

3) Skim is "printing", displaying progress-bar; then displays error: "mistake in printing" (German OS, sorry, my translation)

4) Skim has crashed, I get an crashreport (see way down below).

Note If I just let it go to my printer, everything is alright!

This is ona MBP C2D 2.33 GH 2GB Ram, German OSX 10.5.2, all updates applied.

Hope someone can make sense out of this.

Greetings,

Rolf
