Hi,
I'm forwarding this email: perhaps someone who has the responsibility to
edit Wiki pages for Skim would take care for updating the information as
discussed in the forwarded email.
I am just curious: was the feature of opening and auto-rising Emacs, by
Shift + Cmd + Click over a point in Skim,
added after those lines on Wiki were given, or was it all the way
available?
The needless lines in .emacs (at least with the latest versions on OS X
10.5.2), stated on Wiki are:
;; Auto-raise Emacs on activation
(defun raise-emacs-on-aqua()
(shell-command "osascript -e 'tell application \"Emacs\" to activate' &"))
;; Show TeX line in Skim
(add-hook 'server-switch-hook 'raise-emacs-on-aqua)

You are very right: I have just tested Emacs <-> Skim by commenting away those
lines. I hope that Javier reads this email and comments them away too.
Evidently, Skim developers implemented this directly in Skim. But the Wiki
page, linked from Skim's page, states to add those lines too. So it is only
now, after you have responded, that I know they are needless (most likely, no
harm either). Perhaps people who maintain the information on Wiki should take
those lines away from the instructions there.
