I noticed that one of the changes in the last release or so of Skim is to open .ps files with the wrong extension, or vice-versa, I'm not sure which. Could a similar fix be made to open files with the extension "fdf" that are really "pdf" files?
Springer's manuscipts for reviewers are pdf's with an fdf extension. I look at these very frequently. It's annoying because I download it; there is an attempt by Skim to open it, with the resulting error message; and then I have find the file, change its extension, and open it by hand. I have tried to get Springer to give the right extension, but that is definitely not going anywhere ================================= Adam M.
