OK, I see now. You can extend the space given for the note's text  
description by pulling down the bottom of that line. For some reason I  
seemed to believe that this would show the note's content as well as  
its description; perhaps I was just using the little triangle before.

I am not seeing the little triangle, even for new notes.

In either case, I will welcome it back in the next release!
