There's unfortunately nothing in the logs relevant to this AFAICS.

Does it work if you use custom settings in the Sync prefs, in particular
Command:  /Applications/Aquamacs Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/bin/ 
emacsclient
Arguments:  --no-wait +%line "%file"
