A common solution to this problem is to build a PDF of *only* notes and
display the two simultaneously. If I remember correctly, beamer (or
perhaps powerdot or HA-prosper) could build the notes and content
separately. If not, you could always use something like comment to turn
on and off parts of the document selectively.
Previously on the list, an AppleScript was published that would move
both PDF's forward and backward at once. It made dual-screen
presentations work well.
