I don't think so. What you describe is the way it is supposed to work, in fact. As I said, the magnify tool mode reacts CONTINUOUSLY to modifier keys. So the size depends on whether you hold down the Option key, NOT whether it was down during mouse down (i.e. it does not stick). So it's more like: Mouse down: small magnifying glass +Option down (while keeping the mouse pressed): larger magnifying glass Mouse down at double-click: larger magnifying glass +Option down: full view magnifying glass Mouse down at triple-click: full view magnifying glass +Option down: no effect Shift and Command work similarly, but they affect the zoom factor. Though it may be that Synergy KM may not be able to simulate holding down a modifier key.
