This is bug # 2853671. This can happen on PDFs with rotated pages,
due to some changes in behavior of PDFKit on 10.6. In the next
release we'll take the page rotation into account when adding markup
note. It won't be fool-proof, because there's no way for us to find
out whether the text is rotated or not, but at least you will be
able to correct this.
