I am recently experiencing problems while exiting Full Screen in
the latest version of Skim (1.3.1); I'm running Snow Leopard.
From a full screen PDF, I press ESC to exit full screen mode, and
it works, but it takes forever with the dreaded "beach ball"
turning for a good 10-15 seconds.
It might be a problem with my system, but I only started getting
this since the latest upgrade (not sure if 1.3 or 1.3.1).
Has anyone else noticed this?
Have their been any change in the Full Screen exit that could
produce this behavior?
Thanks!

See bug # 2882226. It seems to be hardware dependent, I've never
seen it myself. I think it's a bug between Apple's PDFKit and Core
Animation. It's already fixed for the next release.

Great, good to know that I'm not the only one and that it's been
fixed. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it can happen even when
I am not overloading the machine, so in addition to hardware, it may
also depend on the interaction some other processes running. Like the
bug reporter, I also have the problem on a Mac Book Air. Thanks.
