In the print dialog, there's a "Color Matching" choice in the lower popup.  
There you can choose the system's suggestion, or a "color profile" option.  In 
the latter case, you get a number of choices of profile.  It may be that what's 
selected doesn't match your printer.  Since I have no idea what profiles are 
about, you'll have to do a little searching to verify this.
