Yea, unfortunately the emacsclient installed by the system in /usr/bin seems 
not to work very well. A big weakness of this emacs setup is that there are too 
many versions of this tool around, and they're not mutually compatible with the 
many different versions of emacs around. BTW your PATH variable is irrelevant, 
that is never used.
