for playing movies in a PDF. That page says: "Playback of multimedia files uses the built-in Flash Player of Adobe Reader and does, therefore, not depend on external plug-ins." However, Flash is going away: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=flash+player+no+longer+supported Apparently it is to be replaced by HTML5. * What will happen to media9?
