Dear Springer Nature: Your web page
https://support.springer.com/en/support/solutions/articles/6000206179-contacting-us#Additional-Contact-Information doesn't seem to indicate where to report problems so I'm sending this to both author support and customer service. ==== The problem is on this page: https://doi.org/10.1007/BF02705144 or https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/BF02705144 for the paper The century beyond the gene Evelyn Fox Keller Journal of Biosciences volume 30, pages 3-10 (2005) The format of the PDF is ruined. The font is hard to read because the spacing (kerning) is not right and the two columns overlap in the middle. Some words appear bold faced because they are so condensed by the bad font. I am viewing the page on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 using Skim 1.6.9 (https://skim-app.sourceforge.io) However, it does show up well with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2022.001.20112. The macOS Preview version 11.0 (999.4) has the same problems as Skim so it's not Skim alone. The macOS browser Safari version 15.4 also has the problems. I suspect that the paper uses an unusual font. Perhaps it is proprietary and so not available to everyone. Tom Thomas D.
