As I said, Skim updates its UI (including button validation) in response to PDFKit telling us about page changes. And that is the only way for us to know how and when to update. So when the UI is not properly updated, it means that PDFKit its not notifying us. That’s Apple’s bug, and unfortunately there is no way for us to fix that, only Apple can. I have absolutely no idea why it fails to notify, as I know nothing about what Apple does b behind the scenes.
