Hi, I seem to have a problem with getting Skim to jump to the correct project when an image in a Latex project is updated. It is not clear to me whether the root cause is in synctex generation or Skim interpreting it - any help would be appreciated.
I have a latex project open in neovim/vimtex on Mac, with Skim set up with synctex. It works fine normally, but when I update an existing image without any updates to the latex importing it, it triggers a recompile/reload but the viewer jumps to the wrong page (it jumps to the last section in the PDF, if this specific detail is useful). Is the problem here that synctex does not really log any changes to the layout because nothing has changed in the latex/layout, and the editor does not get any meaningful info to compute a diff from the previous state? Is there a workaround for this? Thank you!
