The most likely reason is that the Access Manager is trying to resolve
ip addresses to hostnames. The MS gethostbyname() takes a long time to
timeout this may be why it appears to be hanging.
You should run the SKIP Event Logger before enabling SKIP and this will
give you an idea of what's going on.
