Hello. I've been having a problem with telnet sessions through a SKIP
tunnel being disconnected. The telnet client (CRT) is running on Windows
95 with Sun's PC SKIP 3.0 and the server is on the other side of an
Interceptor firewall (and SKIP gateway). A packet trace reveals that
Windows occasionally sends a TCP reset after receiving a packet from the
server which causes the server to close the connection. The client
doesn't realize the connection is closed until it tries to send a packet
and receives a reset from the server. The client can reconnect and
continue with no problem.

I've recently spoken to another PC SKIP user who's experiencing the same
problem with different client and server software, which leads me to
think the problem might be with PC SKIP. I've ruled out a bug in Windows
because I've never experienced this problem when connected to servers
outside the SKIP tunnel.

Could PC SKIP possibly be intermittently corrupting packets that cause
Windows to send a reset? Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

Thanks,
Dave
