We wanted to wish each of you a happy holiday and give an update on what has been going on around Louisville Kentucky USA lately.

First of all, 52media's DNS has been temporarily suspended by the hosting company we have been tirelessly promoting since 1998 over a billing conflict. For those of you that thought our consortium of over 20,000 of today's finest artists had some how vanished, {yeah, right!) please don't fret! You can still find all of your fantastic tunes at our  beta site-

Our email stopped coming about a month ago, so please send (resend) all correspondence sent after November 16 to-

[EMAIL PROTECTED] until we can get our 52media email addresses working again.

52media started in July 1997 as a redirect site for struggling artists. At that time I was working for MTV Online and started networking both Online and off like only a shy kid from Kentucky can!

In September 1998 we started using MP3s to promote our artists and things really started to cook!

52media went from 200 hits a month to 50,000 overnight! We started getting 100s of Emails everyday from artists wanting a link on the site and it's been like that since!

In December 1998, I read a book called Internet World Guide to Webcasting: the Complete Guide to Broadcasting on the Web by Peggy Miles and things REALLY took off!

We produced the world's first All-Indie 35-Band video Webcast showcase with Primitive Entertainment, MicroSoft and MP3.com. Traffic shot up to 250,000 hits and as you can imagine, so did that email from bands wanting a link on our site!

Well as you can see with the site, THERE IS STILL NO WAY TO ADD YOUR BAND TO OUR SITE!

As we get things worked out with the site, our efforts to promote your music are still moving forward! We may have a web site but we ain't a DotCom!
