thats IF you can actually get the raw logs from your CDN within a reasonable
timeframe. We are onto our third CDN now and have yet to promptly get a log
file out of any of them. We do corporate streaming and our clients are very
happy with our real time reporting based on 'wrapping' techniques. We have
tried comapring the stats from both sources and they match closely enough to
be able to forget about the streaming logs for our primary reporting.

I think 'lights our but nobody home' could apply to plenty of people who
*haven't* walked away from their machine anyway Kevin. How do you measure
that ? You could drill down with this argument a long way, lets leave that
to the focus groups. As our webcasts are largely informational rather than
entertainment at the moment and users are well motivated to attend and view,
we often survey them before, during or after the webcast as well as well as
allowing Q and A and chat sessions.
