Hey everyone I have this potentially controversial idea Ive been wondering
if any of you might be interested in. The group I work in has developed
some very helpful custom tools; one of them is a tool that simplifies the
process of inserting script commands (slides, flash, & polling) into
multiple (4) instances of the WM 7.1 encoder. No we are not trying to sell
it, just share it in exchange for what youve created.

I throw this out because although my company could probably afford some of
the enterprise solutions that some of you create, I think they would choose
to ignore this technology before they would choose to make such an
investment. I didnt intend to defend myself before any responses, but Im
just trying to find out what tools people of the streaming media community
would be interested in exchanging (with all the potential issues that could
come with it). One way I think potential risks could be avoided would be to
set up a meeting time and place for those interested in showing and
exchanging their custom tools.

I suggest that if theres anyone interested we could start this off at
Streaming Media West in the Digital Media Zone (DMZ). That way people could
show their wares, explain limitations of their software, and be somewhat
accountable for what is exchanged.

Any takersAny givers?
