when you say you need a new "streams host"...what do you really need?
Talking about Real / Qtime / M$ is the encoded formats...not the hosting
(although this will factor in when looking for a host).
Generic Media simplifies the encoding process...they allow your content to
be published once, and then delivered in whatever format the user chooses.
They do not "host" the stream either...although they've probably partnered
with a CDN (CDN = Content Delivery Network) to enable a turnkey solution.
And Eyewonder is a (predominantly advertising-oriented) technology company,
not a services company, that streams in Java...they use Akamai as their
"stream host" (CDN).
