MPEG 4 is based on quicktime, right? And WMP's .wmv files can be made ISO MPEG4 compatible, too. So, one would think that quicktime should be able to play an ISO MPEG4 compatible file [especially if re-suffixed to .mpg] But it doesn't. The implications if it did are that we have finally hit on a good quality cross platform stream format. Can anyone tell me where my logic and/or knowledge is faulty?
