Hi, The problem is V2.75 use coordinates of the date only for alt-az display, so you cannot keep the same field centered.
The V3.0 test version ( http://ap-i.net/skychart ) is better for that, you can use coordinates of the date for equatorial or ecliptic coordinate. Also you can set the time step in tropical year.
