Hi, It is very difficult to figure this kind of error by email, there is something specific to your installation you must investigate. The available tools are: - Windows Hyperterminal to test the physical connection, send basic lx200 command and look at the response. - The trace file lx200_trace.txt that detail all the command send by CDC and the response from the telescope.
Also don't miss to take a look at the source code to understand why the program react this way to the telescope response. In this case the faulty function is LX200_Open(). If there is no other message then the port open work but the test command send to be sure a LX200 is connected to the port failed. This test command is :GD for LX200 and Autostar, the failure is else writing to the port or receiving a response of less than 6 character in length. You can find in the trace what is your case. If the problem is an incomplete response of less than 6 character try to increase the Interval Timeout value, maybe your interface respond too slowly. Patrick ------------------------ Yahoo!
