Hi group, I'm quite a new CdC user, and very impressed by the amount of catalogi that are made available and/or accessible by it. However, my first attempt to use it made the following question coming up:
When examining some area in Gemini, I discovered an area in the Tycho2 catalog that looks like a "black hole"; no stars at all in it. Both Sky200 (zoomed out) and GSC (zoomed in) however do show stars in that area. There is at least one bright star in it (mag. 5), being BD+20 1775 (Sky2000), alias GSC 1355-1288. What might be the reason that I don't see it when using the Tycho2 catalog? Thanks, Jan ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Make a clean sweep of pop-up ads.
