Hi,
I'm new to this group (but now use CdC now as my preferred sky-
charting tool...it used to be Megastar). I have a few questions to
those on this list that are developing/amending the latest v3 beta
codebase.
1) I'm OK developing in VB6 or VB.Net but I don't know any Delphi. Is
Delphi easy to learn, bearing in mind that I'd intend to learn it
whilst I'm customising the v3 beta code to suit my own needs?
2) Delphi v6 or v7? - which one will work best with the latest CdC v3
beta?
3) Use of MySQL - does this mean that CdC v3+ will make greater use
of DBMS features, and if so, what CdC functions are likely to be
database-based?
4) MySql v4.1 or MaxDB? anyone any thoughts on which is more suitable
for CdC?
Thanks in anticipation for any anwers to these questions or any
related thoughts, comments etc, that you may think useful.
