On the current "http://skyandtelescope.com/observing/ataglance/" website it shows a picture with caption "Comet Machholz was glowing at about magnitude 3.8 just 2 from the Pleiades when Stefan Seip at Oberjoch, Germany, photographed it on the evening of January 7th." I am trying to show this conjunction on CDC, but no luck. (I ran back to 1/7 and switched to a German city as observatiory.) The comet always seems to be below the horizon and not "near" the Pleiades (which is M45, correct?). Any advice? Thanks. Alan
