Hi Hans,
I went through this a couple of months ago when I had to rebuild my 
laptop.  Here is a link to message 2988 where Patrick answered it:

The short and sweet answer is that most of the settings are stored 
in the registry under the key 
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Astro_PC\Ciel

Hopefully you still have access to the old machine

I did a mass copy of the entire installation (like you did), then 
did the registry import, and everything worked perfect after the 
transfer!

Give me a shout if you don't know how to export and import a 
registry value.
