Following on from Patrick's piece on the Rosetta flyby I have created an external catalogue definition file as follows: Copy the lines below into a text file (everything between the dotted lines but NOT the dotted lines !) and call this Rosetta.cds.
When you have created the elements for your location as per Patrick's instructions put the file Rosetta.txt & this file rosetta.cds in the folder cat\externes\rosetta\ and you should be able to load the definition just like a normal external catalogue. - Saves typing the details in. Also don't do what I did and download the high precision ephemeris - this has a different format ! I have altered Patrick's definition slightly to show the time in the description ( Desc1 altered from 2.11 to 13.6 ) John Murrell ------------------------------------------------- ; External catalog definition for Cartes du Ciel ; Plot object according to the size ; Catalog : Rosetta date : 01/03/2005 10:18:02 Active=1 Name=Rosetta File=cat\externes\rosetta\Rosetta.txt Epoch=2000 Coord= Format= ID=14.5 RAh=24.2 RAm=27.2 RAs=30.5 DE+=36.1 DEd=37.2 DEm=40.2 DEs=43.4 Size=10 Unit=60 Desc1=13.6 Desc2=158.12 Desc3= Color=8 Symbol=1 Log= --------------------------------------------------------- -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
