You'll need a very fast connection to download USNO-A2 in a reasonable
time (6GB), and USNO-B1 is far worse (80GB), but small fields of either
(or the guide star catalog) can be downloaded automatically with the
"internet resources" feature.
USNO-B2 has only twice the stars of A2, less than a magnitude deeper. 
The much larger byte count is due to B1 containing much more info on
each star.  So A2 would be much more convenient.
UCAC2 is incomplete- large chunks of the northern sky are still
missing, so it might not have the area around M51.
