I do not have Dave Ek's encoder interface, but in the process of working on an ASCOM driver for NGCMAX and similar clones, I have found out a few things:
1) Dave Ek's box uses a binary protocol, not ASCII, so it will not work with most generic encoder drivers. 2) Dave does offer an ASCOM driver for his device, so this would be the way to go for CdC. FYI, the ASCOM NGCMAX driver is in it's final testing stage, so it should be available as part of the ASCOM v4.x platform soon. It is an extended version of the ASCOM Intelliscope driver.
