Many laptops have an "embedded" numeric keypad that's accessed via a 
"Fn" key + some other key(s). Can you use that left arrow combo 
instead?

Otherwise, I know of no way to remap the keyboard specifically in 
CdC. There may be a way to do it vi ANSI sequences at the OS level, 
but I've never delved into that.
