It has nothing to do with the mailer. Perhaps the format you send it in
makes a difference. It defaults to HTML for me but perhaps plain text works
better. I'll try that next time. I know I've posted long URLs with < and >
around them just fine to other yahoo groups.

I think it is yahhoo being flakey. Lots of people are reporting that
yahoo does things. People wonder how I post long urls to yahoo groups. I
just don't depend on yahoo to do things right and use Thunderbird as a
stand alone mailer.
