If you want only comets and asteroids, you can turn off all the other catalogs.
But there's no way to limit them to a certain magnitude range (and comet
magnitudes are notoriously unpredictable anyway), but this has been a frequent
question recently, so maybe Patrick will add it to v3.
I tried to set the magnitude limit in the label options so that at least only
the brighter ones would be labelled, but all I got was that either all of them
were labelled, if the limit was set to 0, or none of them were labelled, if the
limit was anything other than 0.
