Output designed for plotters like the old HP 7475a is also vector-based.
You could try installing the software for such a printer, telling
windows the printer is connected to "FILE:", then printing CdC output to
that printer. Output will be directed to a file; give the file an
".HGL" or ".HPGL" extension. Old versions of MS Office products would
read these as graphics files, but new ones don't seem to

In XP, the printer you want to choose is the "Hewlett-Packard HP-GL/2
Plotter"

To view the hpgl (or hgl) files, you may want to check out
http://tinyurl.com/7pd26,
which refers to a CERN HP-GL Viewer at http://tinyurl.com/8whxs and
A shareware HPGL viewer at http://www.swplot.com/splot.htm
Also see, for example, http://www.newfreeware.com/graphics/1030/

If your publisher wants vector-based graphics files, they probably have
software they recommend, but the above should enable you to view what
you've produced.

Thank you very much,

Subject: Re: [skychart-discussion] Vector-based graphics output

Hi,

The V3 Postscript output can be of high resolution but this is an
encapsulate raster.

The only true vector graphic output is using the Windows metafile option
of V2.76.
You can probably import this metafile to a graphic art software to
produce a vector Postscript the editor like.
