You need to upgrade to Ubuntu 5.10 (Breezy Badger)

-or-

You could try just upgrading the glibc package with the synaptic package
manager. Add the breezy distribution to the repositories and reload. Look
in the upgradeable packages and select the glibc package for upgrade.

Also, you might could use the update-manager or upgrade-notifier in 5.04. I
have never used them myself.

Jeff Burton

Subject: [skychart-discussion] Skychart on Ubuntu Linux 5.04

Hi all,

I've been a long term user of CdC on Windows but now want to run it on
Ubuntu 5.04 (Hoary Hedgehog). When I do:

  sudo apt-get install libborqt skychart

I get

  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    skychart: Depends: libc6 (>= 2.3.2.ds1-21) but
2.3.2.ds1-20ubuntu14 is to be installed
  E: Broken packages

It seems to me that either Ubuntu's libc6 is slightly behind the
requirements for Skycharts or Skycharts is being a bit too specific in
the dependency specification.

Either way, any suggestions?

Ed Davies.
