HI: Well...about the only things that come to mind... 1. When did you last update the comet's elements? 2. This thing is moving fast. Did you have Cartes running in real time? That is, the time automatically updating? That's quite important. For example, I observed the comet last weekend. Didn't have a laptop with me, so I just entered an RA and Dec for 8pm into the ASGT hand controller. Bam! Right there. Used those coordinates a couple of hours later, and the comet wasn't in the field at all (a look through the finder showed the comet and I was able to fine tune my aim).
