I'm sure Patrick would appreciate if you create a defect report in 
Mantis. Thanks for reporting such a well documented issue.

Tracker.

Personally I've given up on night vision mode and simply use a piece of 
red acrylic. Not because of bugs in CdC but because it's guaranteed to 
work with all applications :)
