Version 2.76 is very stable on WinXP. I have had it on two laptops and two different desktops, Intel and AMD. I use it most nights for starhopping on my Toshiba Intel laptop 1.4gh Celeron. I happen to be in Tucson for the week, and if we could get together I could show you. My 10 inch scope and the laptop are set up in my daughter's back yard and I just finished several early morning hours of observing.
I am starting to convert to Ubuntu Linux and have the Linux version of CDC installed on my desktop back in Illinois.
