I added a 'use strict' and modified the file to make it compile again. I was tracking down why this script does not work for me. I installed the 2/10 version of 3.0 and it's still not working. The 'redraw' command results hangs the script and eventually says there was no response. CdC itself makes the cursor flicker.
Has anyone besides Patrick gotten the TCP/IP interface to work? If you have Perl installed, could you please try this script? You'll need a chartlist.txt file.
