Hi Chris,

the library formats haven't changed between version 2.x and 3.x.

Thanks for the pointers on getting Unbutu/CdC to work.

Subject: [skychart-discussion] CDC installation on Ubuntu 7.04

Yesterday I downloaded and installed the latest version of Ubuntu Linux
- Feisty Fawn. This is the first time I've tried Linux but I've been a
software developer for many years - mostly on Windows.

Naturally I then downloaded the latest beta of CDC.

Installation was a problem because of dependency errors, I finally
worked out that I needed:
libgtk1.2
libgtk1.2-common
libglib1.2
libgdk-pixbuf2
And after that CDC installed.

>From what I can see FF has version 2 of the GTK but not 1.2

Will the 2.76 version of the tycho2 and GSC work with version 3? I seem
to have got CDC to point to them but they don't seem to display.

It looks as if I should be using xbuntu, its an elderly PC...

Chris
