If I understood, even your newest ini file cause CdC to crash on startup. I used this ini file to create a new one with all of your settings, but I deleted lines related to external catalogs, so they aren't loaded. I will upload it as an attachment to your bug report if you want to test it out. I'm not a programmer, but at least we can help Patrick to focus into the problem excluding that is catalog related.
