Hi Craig, Yes, I work occasionally on the Mac version.
More than one year ago I run it using all the X11/Gtk stuff you describe but I don't think this is the way a Mac user want to run an application, this is ways too complicate to install. As the native Carbon interface for Lazarus is making good progress I just choice to wait a little. Last time I try was in July and it look like it is working, I even upload a skeleton cdc.app application bundle to the svn repository. But I have no time for more serious testing so it stay there. Also at the moment it work only with an Intel Mac. Because of the use of binary catalog we need to swap byte order on a PowerPC and this code is not implemented. Not a big deal as this is already coded to read FITS file on the PC but I not have the right machine to do that. If you are interesting by testing I can try to upload a simple zip installer. Patrick
