Oleg:

The entire NOMAD catalog is an enormous data set, >100 GB.  That's why
the catalog servers at USNOFS and CDS have search engines to extract
data over small fields.

If you really want a local copy of the entire catalog, you'll need to
contact the authors directly.  It may be possible for you to send a
USB HDD out to Flagstaff and have them burn you a copy of the catalog,
but you'll need to buy the drive and cover all shipping/handling costs.

Since NOMAD is a compiled catalog, you might want to try accessing the
individual component catalogs on the CDS servers.
